I have a very small leak that occasionally appears on the floor. The oil appears after I park and is dropping on the sway bar slightly left of the center of the engine. I can not find where it is coming from. Has anyone had the same problem?

Thanks

Could it not be the crankcase breather tube, which is normal!

Sorry, no breather tube to the atmosphere on a 6. 7.

When you say to the left side of engine, is that looking at it from the front or from the drivers seat? If it is from the front of the truck, check around the oil filter and filter housing.

Also check the power steering pump. If you pull the cap and it seems pressurized you most likely will need to do the mod to the cap. They are supposed to vent, but the don't and build pressure inside the pump. I have seen brand new trucks with 10 miles on them with leaks in the PS Pump.

BTW, my 6. 7 seems to have a bit of an oil leak around where the rear main seal is. I can never really confirm, but seems to be comeing from teh inspection plate on the trans. Anyone else have the same?

My valve cover gasket was just replaced due the back of the motor being wet with oil. Could it be dripping down on yours?
