Hey can you good folks help me find an oil filer cap? I can't seem to Google one up. The parts guy tells me he'd have one in the morning then tells me they are on back order when I get there.

May you all be well, happy and peaceful

Just out of curiosity, why do you want a valve cover with a fill hole? In my experience, they fill very slowly. All of our buses at work have had the timing cover filler added for that reason.

i have clearance issues i am using a cummins 6bt in a 86 chevrolet 1 ton and am using stock 6. 2l diesel radiator and upperhose crosses over from drivers to pass side and it is directly against the filler tube and am afraid i will snap the extension off

How do you eliminate the filler tube or remove it as in your case? I think I'd like the valve cover filler just for looks. I knew guys were producing them and selling them, I didn't know they were a Cummins part. This way one could run a cool chrome cap! Got the part number on the valve cover w/filler hole? Does it come with cap or does it use the same cap as the extension tube? Thanks.

it uses the same cap as the fill tube but ur may be able to put a gm power steering chrome cover it will get you the part numbers for cover as soon as iget my other gasket in

also the filler tube screws off and i know later models w/ isb have a breather tube there instead also the isx uses the same filler tube but unsure of the adaptor elbow all i am going to do is screw filler cab in at elbow i also saw a company in the tdr list that sells polished valve covers for about 160 a set but you can polish your own
