I have a good back stock of oil filters for my 01 and 04 dodge trucks. I purchased a 2013 and am curious if the oil filter is the same as the older engines take. Just answered my own question YES the Fleetgard LF 16035 will work on the new as well as the older engines. Thanks. .

The interweb is amazing isnt it,, Thanks so much for your quick response, your help not only keeps me from throwing my old stock of new filters away, but also keeps me from buying new ones?

Gonzo,

I think you read it wrong, the '13's use 53061FL filters with reverse threads, YIKES!

Were you looking at it upside down?

What I found interested the new "Nanonet" fuel filters are cheaper from the dealer than fleetguard. I think I only paid about $40. 00 for the one I just bought, Fleetguard from Cummins NW was about $65. 00, and they couldn't get it. I don't know for sure if they are the same filter but from what I can tell they are. My local dealer parts has been REALLY good to me and giving me a good discount lately.
Gonzo, have you read about adding the cabin filter yet? I just did mine and it looks like it will help with keeping the dust out of the cab, and its charcoal impregnated filter so it might help allergies

I was thinking that the cab filter would be a good thing to do. Does the filter media retain any water when it gets wet?
