Oil filter part #s

I'm kinda confused



In Geno's catalog, they list the Stratapore #LF16035 for all 1989-2003 CTD's, With #LF3894 being for 24 valve up to 02. Now the Cummins website is the opposite, as far as 1st gens go. I also seen it somewhere else. I use the first(LF16035). They will all work- right? Just with the 24v I guess they need to use the new version w/ thicker case head and all.

Steve, yep as far as I know on the oil filters, they all will work up to 03. You just wouldnt use a original old part numbered filter that was for say a 89 on an 03?. Fuel filters are different I believe. FS1232 for 89-93. Bill

I thought that was how it was, sorta backwards compatible like oil. I just seen conflicting numbers and wanted to make sure. At least there's only one fuel filter # for our trucks.
