how does the hardwick one on the tdr for $30 something differ from the genos one for $5. 95?

Jeff Hardwick machines them himself out of billet aluminum. From all reports (my order is going out tomorrow), it is a real work of art.



If all you want is a tool that will work, go to Wal-Mart and get the $2. 99 filter socket. If you want a quality piece that will last a lifetime and beyond, order one from Jeff.

The only problem with the plastic version is if you get a filter on a little too tight, the wrench will slip when you try to take it off. I've learned my lesson and can make do with the $2. 95 version though - "cool" factor not withstanding.
