Oil Filter

I went to my Cummins Dealer to get some oil filters for my 600, 2004. 5. They asked for the number off my engine and gave me Fleetguard LF 3972. I did my oil change and searched this site to confirm the accuracy of this filter. I can not find any reference to this being appropriate. Did I get mislead? :--)

Filters

The LF3972 is for the 03/04, but is the standard filter, it will still work

LF16035 is for the 03/04 an its the stratapore filter, it suppose to be a little better filteration.

Most get these filters from a Cummins outlet or Geno's for a much better price?
