Oil Filter

I am trying to locate a Fleetguard LF3894 oil filter here in CT.

Anyone in CT, where and what kind of filter are you guys using??

I am in Connecticut, about 30 minutes from you in Greenwich. I used to get my Fleetguard Stratapore filters from Genos Gargae or you can try Cummins Metropower which is in CT. I think near Hartford or try Fleetpride in Stamford.

I doubt Cummins will be able to help you without special ordering the filters. #ad
Cummins' own website doesn't mention the Stratapore, and when I asked my local Cummins dealer, he didn't even show that filter for the 24V Rams! I ordered a couple from Geno's Garage.

I have no trouble getting those filters from the cummins dealer here (Mt. Clemens) and there is only a couple dollars difference from Geno's.

Cummins South stocks the Stratapore. That's where I buy oil and fuel filters.

When going to your local Cummins dealer, it may take a little education before they are convinced that you have the right filter number. I went to a local shop that serviced Cummins and tried six ( 6 ) different filters, each of them, according to their infomation, being the proper filter for my 2001 3500!

Finally they agreed to order a case of the filters that I needed, based on the infomation I supplied to them. I bought six, they kept six, now everyone is happy, especially anyone who now comes in to buy Fleetguard filters for their trucks.

Be patient and work with them and they will get you what you need. Education is a slowwww process sometimes!

TORQUE THIS,

Try a local big rig shop for Fleetguard. I buy mine at Redwood Alliance Peterbilt here in Eureka. In fact, they are on the shelf as I walk in the door so I just grab a couple on the way to the counter. Their price is about the same as Geno's for the oil filter (Statapore) and a little less for the fuel filter. Check around, you might find a truck shop that stocks all the filters you need.
