I used up my last Fleetguard oil filter and forgot to order more after my last oil change. Anyway I have to change my oil tomorrow and was wondering what other brand can I find at an O'Reilly's/ Advance Auto to get me by until I get more filters ordered from Geno's. I read an article awhile back about a bunch of different oil filters being tested on a cummins and one of the top 5 was actually a WIX filter (which shocked me). I'm a bit nervous running another filter besides Fleetguard but any suggestions?

I've gone to the Advanced Auto store locally in a pinch---they carry the Mopar/Cummins filter. PN 5083285AA

Advance should have a mopar which I think is the fleetgaurd standard. Oreilly will have a Wix and Napa will have a Napa gold which will be the same as Wix. Any of the above are fine. if you're using the fleetgaurd stratapore, feel free to change the oil now with whatever filter you can find and then swap in the new filter when it comes in and just top off the oil.

I would rather wait a few days and get some Stratapores from Geno's. You won't hurt anything waiting a few days, but a low quality filter could make you wish you had done so!

Purolater is a good cheaper priced alternate

I go to Bi-Mart and by Purolater oil filters with reasonable pricing and think they are very good. Please look up on TDR the testing on oil filters and go from there. It might be in the "Buyers Guide" which is on TDR.
