Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Oil Filters

Had my oil changed, seems like I read somewhere that some oil filter brands are not to be used. Was I just dreaming that?

No you were not dreaming. Fram filters have caused engine failures because of bits of the filter plugging piston cooling nozzles. The best filter for your truck is Fleetguard LF3894 Stratapore. You can get them from Geno's Garage. I buy them at the local Peterbilt shop for less than Geno's price. No sense buying other filters when the best is priced so low.

I guess I am OK, they only had a Purolator L45335 on hand, reckon that is a good one?
