I don't usually comment on opinions but was looking for some info about other brands, locally I was able to get a WIX filter in an emergency, and have order in from Genos for the Cummins filters, not a big price difference, but first, the word "Filter" dosen't really apply to full flow "Filters", they are nothing more than strainers, filters remove contaminants, full flow strainers just stop the big harmful objects from damaging the engines, I doubt there are very many owners here that remember that oil filters were once options, vehicles came from the factory without them, I had a 61 Dodge slant six p/u without a filter, was still running strong at 125000 miles when I sold it and the engine oils weren't near as good as now, if a full flow actually filtered it would soon plug up, I once used a 'lifetime' cleanable sintered bronze full flow filter, it soon plugged to the point of plugging up and couldnt be cleaned, that was in a early Ford engine without a bypass valve, the oil pressure gauge kept rising but the engine was starving for oil, resulting with higher engine temps, luckily I caught it before too much damage, but as to all the hype about filters, it's mostly hype!
