hey jeff,

been meaning to tell you -- used mine on the "dreaded" first filter change.

that wrench fit like a glove and took the filter off like it was loose.

love it!!!. been using it on everything in my sig except the 89 caravan (different size).

I've been meaning to go to the parts store and tear the shelves apart to see exactly how many filters it will actually fit ... ... ... ... ... just been busy and afraid of the police escort to the door :D

I've been convinced for a long time that these filter canisters are made by an independant company and the flute pattern is pretty universal.

This whole filter thing is like batteries, many many brand names and only a few manufacturers ... ... ... go figure

Dear Jeff,

My wife loves it but wants to know how to change the batteries. :D

Anyway, my PayPal account is at -- email address removed --

I hope this works, and I'll still try to get the button working on the classified ... ... ... ..... I'm better off with my puter on a machine than a desk top, LMAO.

Cool... just sent you paypal... except for some reason the darn thing did an e-check instead of using my paypal balance which defeats the whole point  Oh well, can't wait to check out this "work of art" tool :D

Shipped out a boat load of filter sockets today, but still can't edit my ad for the paypal:confused:

Fuel filter caps are just around the corner, natural aluminum to start.

how much for shipping to canada eh [markham, ontario, canada, L3P 7H3]?

i am interested in one [going to become a paper weight though, too nice to use until the cheap steel one i have breaks]

and still waiting for the billet fuel filter covers too... :D:D:D

Got mine the other day also, nice job Jeff!

Happened to be the same day my truck went in to the dealer to have the emergency brake cable replaced (check out the routing, seems to be a problem with them being sized so they lay right between the overload spring and bump stop. )

Anyway, just for fun I left the filter wrench on the seat when I brought the truck in. Only the service manager asked about it but you should see the greasy finger prints on the thing. Looks like every guy in the shop had to come over and take a look at it, I wonder if you'll be getting a large order from the Dealership?

I'm truckless in PA right now, but will be home tomorrow.

The wife called me a little while ago, wanting to know if I was expecting a package from "Hardwick Enterprises". The girl has no short-term memory unless it's for my mistakes. ;)

Anyway, she said the box was so heavy that our 2-year-old granddaughter had trouble carrying it in from the mailbox.

Now I have another reason to look forward to going home! Oo.

Thanks Jeff!

Just got mine Friday. Changed oil yet that night. I was real careful not to get any oil on it ;) It sure is a nice work of art :D

Hey, you know I found a good unintended use for my Hardwick socket! hehe...

I was enjoying a cold Corona the other day while admiring the beauty of that work of art resting on the coffee table, trying to envision the happy day in which my truck will arrive. With my attention so focused, I set my beer down on the oil filter socket instead of the normal coaster. Expecting it to suddently fall over, because as you know the wrench-side of the socket is tapered down and narrow, I quickly reached for the falling beer! Then I noticed it wasn't falling! The inside of the socket which was facing up is concave as to match the convex dome shape of the oil filter, which caused my beer to lean in the exact amount to offset its weight being off center. I toyed with this a bit and had to think... I wonder if Jeff did this on purpose!? No matter where on the inverted socket I set my beer, full or empty, it wouldn't tip over, even with a good nudge, or shake of the table! Now it has a reason to be out on the table, admired, instead of in the toolbox! :p :p
