Oil for NV4500

What do you guys think about using Redline "MTL" 75W in the 4500??? The Castrol "Syntorque" is too pricey!!! I use Redline in everything else.

I have been using the Redline MT-90 (75w-90)for about 100k miles now. Other than a fifth gear nut, I haven't had any problems. A friend of mine used MTL in his '94 for about the same mileage before he sold it. He had no problems either.

I tried MTL and recently switched to MT-90. I believe it is better suited to the NV-4500's

Some folks like Amsoil in their NV-4500's...



I'm going to give it a whirl in mine someday. I refuse to pay $50/gallon + shipping for transmission oil.

I've heard of several members reporting good service from Redline MTL. Another option for 100% synthetic is Royal Purple MaxGear 75W-90, it has worked superbly in my 4500.

Thanks for the info guys, I use Royal Purple in the race motor, and Redline in the rear end, so they are both great. Just put the Redline in the 4500 today, we have to tow 3400 miles in the next 3 weeks, we'll see how it does!!
