Oil Help

I went to get oil today and to my surprise the usual that I get (Rotella) was $20 per gallon, but right next to it was motocraft Diesel at 11. 50.



Is there that much difference in the two of them? Yes they were both synthetic.

From what I remember, the guys on Bob is the Oil Guy (BITOG) seem to report that Motorcraft works fairly well. It would probably work fine as long as its CI-4, CI-4+, or CJ-4.

I don't think the Motorcraft was FULL Synthetic at that price. If it was FULL Syn. I would NOT use it.

I have ran the dino Rotella-T since 95 in all four of our diesel trucks and tractors with no problems. I do use synthetics in the transfer cases ,differentials,and transmissions.
