Hey Guys,

My son had to change his headgasket because of oil in the coolant. He tried putting dawn and water in to help dissolve the oil. He drained it then added antifreeze. He said there is still oil in the radiator. How do you get the oil out of the cooling system? His truck is a 98 24v. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Jeff

I would think it would take quite a few fill/rinse attempts to get the job done.

buy the gallon jug of dawn at a wholesale place, you will likely need a bit.

Good luck!

ahhhh! id use cascade powder, not liquid soap, make lotsa bubbles. Do 2-3 rinses with HOT water get it up to temp flush again. I wanna say fleetguard makes a product called restore, for flusing after HG's bite the dust. Supposedly works better then soap.
