I just installed my new 5" MBRP turbo back exhaust, I can smell what seems to be oil burning. At first I thought it was because of the small amount of lithium grease I used on the muffler joints. I just now returned from the state line(about 45 miles) and after stopping at the mail box and then continuing up my driveway, I was blowing little puffs of blue smoke.
I parked at the house and shut it down, my exhaust tip was wet with oil on the inside, it does not smell like fuel it is definitely oil. My oil level is normal and my oil does not smell like fuel. I looked into my tail pipe with a flashlight and it is only wet to the first bend and then appears to be dry. I inspected my old system and it is dry.
Is this normal for a MBRP system when new? Or do I have bigger problems, turbo seals leaking?, broken ring? The truck only has 11,000 miles on it and the SPS62 has about 1000 miles since installation. Any input, I am really concerned here.
It does not puff blue continuously, I just noticed it after stopping that one time and then when I restarted it it blew out a small puff.
Thank You for any ideas!
