Hey guys, I live in Texas where it doesn't get too cold for too long, so I use Rotella 15-40. I am going on vacation in Colorado in January, and I am about due for an oil change, so I was wondering if I should put in 10-30 this time, then go back to 15-40 the next go round. What do y'all think?

Oil

I wouldn't do it. Even if you can't plug in your truck while you are in Colorado, it should start with minimal problems. If it's real cold, cycle your grid heaters twice.

(I apologize for trespassing!:) :))

I live in Colorado plus spend as much time as I can in western Montana. I use Premium Blue 15-40 year round with no problems. I do try to keep the RPMs down especially in cold weather until things warm up a bit and the oil pressure starts to drop.
