Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Oil Leak by Injector Pump

I am hoping I can get some advice on this,

I have a oil leak which seems to start up by the injector pump. There is oil puddling on the drivers side of the injector pump about 3 inches from the front of the motor. It leaks enough to leave many puddles under the truck after shut down.

I do not think it is from the vacuum or power steering pump since I am getting puddling up by the injector pump. Any ideas people have are greatly appreciated. I am going to try to clean the motor and lay look for leaks this weekend but was hoping to have some ideas to look for. Thank You in advance for the help.

I would check the oil supply hose. It is on the back of the IP between it and the engine.

More quesitons

Is this a steel hose or another material? Does it connect to the IP? If so which side (between motor and IP or on the fender side? The two lines that I looked at where the fuel supply line and the overflow (return) line.

make sure your timing pin is still in place.

It's a steel braided line. It connects to the back side of the injector pump between the pump and the engine, underneath the intake manifold. In the pics the arrows are pointing to:

• Red - The oil line
  
• Blue - The backside of the injector pump
  
• Green - The intake manifold

Thanks Big Papa,

I have real hope that this is the problem. Just back from there is where the oil seems to be collecting and then down the side of the motor. I am assuming that I can just use line wrenches to make sure these fittings are tight to begin with.

Does this line itself have a history of failing, or is it likely that my fitting just loosened up? Again, thank you for all your help. The pictures really cleared it up for me.
