i have oil driping from what ever is bolted to the front of the power steering pump. it is def. motor oil. looks like the part it is coming from is silver in color. it does not look like there is anything to tighten up. any ideas???

sounds like the seal between the vacuum and power steering pump. do a search on oil leak ,there is a seal kit available from several sources.

Thats your vacuum pump seal. Cummins price for a single lip seal kit is about $9 On page 137 of TDR issue 55 There is an updated seal kit with tools

also check the braided SS oil line that runs into the vacuum pump. Mine was loose and was weeping alittle and I though that it was the seal. Tighted the SS line and leak stopped. Its been fine for about 50K miles.

If it is the seal, from what I have read/heard it is a pretty simple and cheap fix to replace the seal only.

Hope this helps
