I have an intermittent oil leak. Not ever large amounts, but I am wondering about it because, recently I also started having problems with my pac brake acting funny was checking all the electrical switches and everything but could find nothing wrong. The brake would feel like it was shutting off and coming back on. I have determined that it must be losing vacuum pressure. is it possible I could have a small enough leak somewhere that it occasionally leaks a little oil and breaks the seal so that vacuum is lost and then seals up well enough to work fine for a while? I am thinking possibly some loose bolts somewhere or something, just is a very odd presentation. I am never losing enough oil to notice it unless you look under the truck and notice that some is on the bottom of the truck. Ideas are wanted. Don't really want to be paying a shop to be messing with it when it is not easily replicated. Everything is running fine. fuel milage is still good, all gauges read normal. Oil level is fine and it has been a while since last oil change so I am obviously not leaking a bunch. Just kinda frustrated, especially since I just crossed the 100,000 mile mark about three weeks ago, so warranty is up. Let me know what you think.

Thanks, Jon

Did you check the solinoid on the air valve? My Pac quit shortly after I installed it and I found that the screws that attach the solinoid to the valve were slightly loose and that allowed dirt to get in there and prevent the solinoid from actuating the valve.

That little valve is probably the weakest link in the system and should be checked and cleaned periodically. Which reminds me: I need to clean mine again before we take off across the Rockies next month.

No I know the valve is clean, and the brake works fine the majority of the time. when it is acting funny, it is like turning the brake on and off several times in a row.
