OIL Leak Poll

My truck leaked from the word go. Changed to synthetic (mobil delvac 1) and it leaked worse. Fixed seals (front crank, rear main, tightened bolts on pan) and went to amsoil. No leaks now.

That is great you got the leaks fixed, it is too bad some seals were bad from the factory.

It is also refreshing to not hear a leak blamed on oil.

Since you may not have seen my question about your qualifications as an oil expert. Can you please tell me where you were taught about oil and lubricating? What training do you have to qualify a vehicle for its lubricating needs.

As we now peek in at the "Hall of Justice League" we see Cummins Man and Dodge Boy looking at their trusty monitors,,DB says"Wholly uncertified oils CM,do you see what Citizen Jabloney is about to do?",,Yes my trusty sidekick I can see this pending problem offers CM,,Looks like a job for "WARRANTY MAN",,Better go to the signal beacon and summon him,,So as the large W lite the city sky,the neighbors hear in the distance the unmistaken sound of the mighty Cummins approaching,,Just as Citizen jabloney is about to twist the top of the non-API lube open and insert it into his trusty ride, up with a screaming set of tires and brakes slides "Warranty Man" to his rescue,,With his bright white H/O still brakes a smokin' he dashes across the lawn stopping the citizen from what he feels is a major catastrope,,Now sir,you CAN NOT do this,it is not api certified and will lead to certain failures and harm you do not want to endure,,I have your best interests at heart and you need not trust anyone else or form your own opinion,it is not needed,,So as the new case of dino oil is left and the bad non certified oil is throw into a safety barrel in the bed of WM's H/O he speeds off knowing he AGAIN has done right over wrong,,As he rides into the sunset,the smirking citizen now slinks to the garage and with a "Kid Rock" salute to the horizon where Warranty Man has just dissappeared another case of the non-certified is popped open and fed to the ravenous beast,,,Is this the END???,Could it be true???,,Stay tuned and you may catch the Justice League try to foil Citizen Jabloneys fueling upgrades and turbo mods..... Till Then... . Same dedicated players... ... . Same dedicated answers...

What did we learn from all this above... NOTHING... same thing we get from all the other biased posts against synthetics,,Its not the right thing,its not the wrong thing... ITS CHOICES... PERIOD,,Thats what this deals about,some will try to show all negativity and will not accept anything in a real world experience as proof,thats their deal,BUT,on the same quarter you can not allow the other to have their say either,good or bad,all some of these guys want is opinions on products we all use and by playing "warranty man" for them is not what they were seeking,I'm quite certain they are capable of making their own decisions with what they use and how they do it and need no one else to do it for them,and that is the bottom line,like it or not,,Myself I'm done with all this bickering about it,,Yep,I'm just a dumb professional truck driver with no college education or papers showing my certifications in oils,just good old fashioned real world experiences and my eyes seeing the products they protected,,3 million miles on my rear behind the wheel of these things as a O/O and a team owner has given me this right,nope you won't find it in a book or on the internet,but jjust ask me and I'll glady offer what I've seen or what has broke and why,,Little to windy for most here,so I'm outta here... ... .

P. S. -A very knowledgeable man along time ago when I was a kid just learning said this to me and I think it kinda fits here... .
