Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) CJ 4 Oil ?

Im trying to track down an oil leak on my truck. The lower part of the motor is wet with oil on both sides. The most of it seems to be on the passanger side. The frame is wet maybe from the belts picking it up and slinging it. I done away with the slober bottle awhile back thinking it was the problem

but no luck. I know the vaccum pump is a common problem. There was also what looked to be little drops of anitfreeze it the oil on the passenger side.

Thanks for the help I know there is a lot of the oil leak threads just need some opinions.

Isn't the oil cooler on that side (passenger=right) of the motor and it is provided engine coolant to cool the oil. I've heard of the heat exchanger leaking before but on both the oil and coolant side at the same time? Check the hoses and pipes.

The oil cooler is sandwiched under the filter housing. If the bolts are loose you can leak oil and coolant both. The front crank seal could be leaking, the fan will push it that way.

I had someone else think it might be a crank seal. How big of a job is this to replace and what would cause it to go out??

I just replaced mine tonight. When I pulled the harmonic balancer I thought it looked more like the timing cover so I resealed it too. Took about 1. 5 hrs. My oil went to the right side of the motor as well as the bottom. I wont know if I was right till I drive it a little more.
