I have an oil leak coming from the adapter between the vacuum pump and the power steering pump. It looks like it is leaking through the seal in the adapter with the spring in it. i've taken it apart, reseated the spring into the seal and put it all back together. I thought it was fixed b/c it didn't start leaking right away like before, but it appears it has started leaking again.

Has anyone else experienced this or fixed it. I'm pretty much new to the diesel life, so any help would be very much appreciated.

Thank You in advance.

I had the same leak on my 96. I bought a vacuum pump rebuild kit from Genos and installed it. I have not put it back on truck, since I am doing some other work. Complete kit with good instructions and dvd.

I had the same problem and bought the kit from Fixing Rams and it was really cool and fairly easy to do and the kit contained two sets of seals and really fixed the problem, I also did the KDP the same day. Good Luck!
