Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Oil leaking from front left axle.

I noticed gear lube leaking from the left front axle on my 2500 4x4. The truck has about 250k on it an I am sure it is time for some attention. Just not familiar with the seals, bearings and if any special tools are required to fix these type of problems. I also noticed that the inside of the tire is badly worn also only on that side. Any input is appreciated.
