i have oil leaking out the breather tube on my 05'. the dealer says there is a catch bottle that needs to be drained at oil changes, sounds good if i could find it. anyone know where it is?

Dealers an idiot, no catch bottle since 02. It's normal for a little blowby to come out. The best fix is to extend the hose down a few inches so it doesnt get all over everything.

I thought about getting a catch bottle but I was talked out of it by the folks here on TDR, seems there were some lousy side effects regarding blocked up radiator and trans coolers.

Amen on the idiot dealer! My 06 leaks AFTER an oil change, I think the dealer overfills. BTW, the blowby tube was relocated to the rear of the engine... my 99 was up front. After a week or so from the oil change it stopped. Some say the oil leakage is worse when new because the rings are very tight and causes a lot of crankcase pressures..... just what I heard.....

cut the toe out of an old sock and ziptie it around the tube leaving the sock hanging down past the end of the tube about 3 inches and change out from time to time.
