Is your truck calling for the expensive one??? I can't get the Dodge Numbers over to Cummins numbers. I did research this as much as I could on the Dodge side and it depends on the transmission code as to which pan is used.



I thought that I had your truck serial number or engine serial number, but I can't find it. E-mail it to me and I will see what Cummins says should be used.

I did get over to Houlton on Tuesday and got my part, worked out perfect.

my engine serial # is 57806753. I'm looking for an oil pan.

perhaps I'll have a look at some of the other trucks around here to see if I can see the difference.
While I'd like to order the cheaper one, there may be some clearance issues that would cause a problem when installing.

No special notations, Part Number is 4980112. Price would be $421. 11 from Cummins. I would guess that this pan is equal to the more expensive Mopar choice.



I'll send a PM to Bob 4x4 and see if he can interpret the codes from the Dodge link that I found. The cheaper one may be fine but we must verify exactly what the difference is before going any further.



I checked Geno's as they offer pans now as well, but they stop at the '07 5. 9 version.

The 68043300AA shows it is for export or Mexico (DX) for 2008. For 2009 it shows it fits 5. 9 and 6. 7 auto and manuals. 2010 and up, 6. 7. Does not specify the difference so use at your own risk.

I will use some newer trucks vs Ricks in Cummins to see if they spell out the difference.

If I can prove that it is a minor difference I will post it. If I can't then I will not recommend doing it.
