Been fighting an Oil drip for a while. Finally found that it is coming off the oil filter ring that the preluber attaches to engine. The oil then collects on top of the oil filter and then down the side of it. I did not install the preluber, so my question is the oil filter ring screwed onto the oil filter mount or is it bolted on or both? I need to tighten it up to eliminate the drip. Anyone who has installed a preluber know this answer? I don't know what brand it is, it was already on the truck when I got it. It runs off an oil pump that is attached to the inside fender.

Thanks for any help on this.

Doug- there's a big honking nut holding the works together. Just checked- 1 1/2". So my question to you... how is it that the ONLY place your preluber is leaking is at the filter? :) I've got a diaper on my pump and quick connect.

Greg,

Thank you for the info. I figured out the leak after I replaced the oil hose running from the oil pump of the preluber to its oil filter connection. Then found that it still leaked. This is the first time that the thing has leaked on me. Hopefully I can take care of the leak on the next oil change and tighten down that bolt.
