Well, I just switched from dinosaur oil to synthetic for the first time today.
Usually, I've just had the dealer do the oil changes. They usually put in 15W-40 with a Mopar Filter #5083285AA.
This time, I did it myself, and switched over to Valvoline Premium Blue Extreme 5W-40 synthetic that I picked up from Cummins. I also installed a Fleetguard LF3894 filter.
I took it for a quick test drive after and noticed that my oil pressures across the board (idle or running) are higher than I'd seen previously with the other oil and filter. Running, it's now near the high end of normal on the pressure guage.
Has anyone got any explanation for this?
