Every once and a while my oil pressure gauge drops to 0psi when the truck warms up. The only way to get it back is to shut the truck off and re-start. Where is the oil sending unit on these trucks? Is there anything else that may cause this intermittent problem?

It's fairly large... under the fuel filter on the driver's side... took a 1-1/8" socket to remove IIRC... you best bet is to get a replacement from Cummins as they are A LOT CHEAPER than the exact same part sold by dodge.

Hey John, mine did the same thing a while back, and replacing the sending unit fixed the problem. If I remember, it was about $110.

It was either Napa or the Dodge dealer, I don't remember. It was a couple years ago. I almost think it was from Napa.
