I am trying to get my hands on a replacement oil pressure sender without paying the $241 + tx from the dealer. Does anyone have the part# / source for that part on my '99? I got one from the local parts house ($42)... in the red and white "standard" box, part # PS291 on the box, 1935 48750 56031005 stamped on the sensor. I pulled my fuel filter housing and disconnected the sensor wire to find the plug has 3 terminals and the new sensor only has 2  . So O put it back together and went back to the drawing board. Any help is appreciated!

Take the engine numbers from the data plate on the timing cover and call a Cummins place... they are $28 IIRC...

Oh, and they gave you a sending unit for a gasser...

Thanks for the info - when I originally called Cummins, they said it couldn't be their sensor because that would shut the engine down. Is it the same sensor that is read by the engine ecu and the body control module?

There is only one oil pressure sending unit, and the CTD version is the same as the dodge version... at least it was for my dad's 99.

Thanks Steve for the info. I will pull the numbers from the timing cover and give Cummins a call. I appreciate the help. Darn gassers!
