Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Oil pressure sensor location

My oil pressure gauge has been acting up so I finally purhased a new one (part # 4921511) . Got it from Atlantic Cummins in Kenly, NC for $78. 98 plus tax. Now I just have to put it in. I read on the forum somewhere that it is located above the starter and behind the fuel filter, but so far, I have been unable to see it. I have looked from the top and the bottom, but have not put in on ramps to look from the bottom from behind the axle. Can anyone point me in the right direction to where it is and the best way to remove and replace it.

I had to remove my starter to get to it. Get a 12 point 10mm to get that top starter bolt out.

hi; the oil sender on my o6 is just at the bottom edge n forward rite there in frontof fuel filter n i can just see where the wires hookup
