Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) oil pressure

Hi fellas, a friend of mine has a 12 valve he just rebuilt and modified, the problem he has and I'm out of ideas about is the fact that there's no oil pressure at the gauge, and very little comes out of the turbo feed line, we took the valve covers off, and revved it the oil comes up where it is supposed to drain around the pushrods, and nothing comes out of the rocker arms. he never touched the oil pump or filter housing, just took it off, and put it back on with new gaskets. Any input on this would be appreciated. He's pretty sure he has all the oil gallery plugs in that are supposed to be in, but not ruling that out. :-{}

I had the same problem after i changed my oil cooler. I new i had good oil pressure before we took everything off to find the problem oil pan oil pump everywhere oil made or could make oil pressure. We finally went a head with the front engine cover off and packed the oil pump full of grease started the truck and had pressure. I guess im saying the oil pump might have an air lock. . Check that out.
