Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) oil presure gone

just got back from a road trip where the gage drops then comes back

now at 1200 it leaves,gage and light comes on 1300 bam up to 40

what do ya think bad sender, are light and gage on same ore different

sender

if the sender (next to vacum pump) is leaking out through the conecter like mine did at 270k thats the culprit they are not expensive.

My sending unit died the same way. They also sell a special socket for sending unit replacement. Not necessary but makes the job very easy. About $10.
