Oil pump question

Probably a dumb question at least I feel dumb having to ask it. While re assembling an 03 block I was getting ready to install the oil pump and find no gasket in the gasket kit and no mention of gasket or sealer use in either of my shop manuals. The impression the manuals give is that it is just a machine fit with no gasket. If anyone knows for sure it would be appreciated. Brian

Been years since I've seen an oil pump on a B/C series. Is there an o-ring grooxe, or something like that?

I checked my service manual too, and I don't think there's any gasket or anything. Just slap it on there!
