Absolutely! I have an 05 2500 QC 4X4 that is Amsoil from front to back and top to bottom. I use it in everything I own. I am using the series 3000 HDD 5w-30 with the Amsoil by-pass filter, also using their ATF, gear lubes and grease. Also like their fuel additives.

AMSOIL is well worth the money. If you would like I could send you some information on comparitive testing and some info on AEO filters. Research before you buy, let me know if there is anything I can do. -- email address removed --.

BWeidlich,

I was wondering how the Amsoil ATF would work in my automatic. If yours is an auto could you let me know how you like it and if it made any difference. I've got an 05 3500. Thanks

I'll chime in. I have it in my 05 48RE. Going on 24K on AMSOIL ATF. So far I'm absolutely happy with the performance, and lower temps.

Royal Purple anyone?

Just wondering about Royal Purple. Anyone had any experience positive or negative with products. I'm changing over at my 15K oil change to it so just wondering.

I have Amsoil in everything except my motor(for now). I wouldn't recommend putting a synthetic in the motor tell it has 10k-15k miles on it. They say that these diesels take a while to get broke in and they don't seat the rings properly on synthetic.

YFZBOB,

Thanks for the info. I'll be doing my transmission service shortly and think I'll make the switch to Amsoil. When you did your service did you flush the whole thing out or just drop the pan, replace the filter and top off? Not sure which way to go yet. I don't tow heavy and my mileage isn't too high, just a time thing.

I also have a '05 2500 w/ 48RE and Amsoil in it. Just about ready to hit 37000 mi. and have zero issues with the transmission.
