Sent my oil off to Terry Dyson for analysis, he says there's silver from the turbo bearing and elevated water levels in the sample, anyone else seen this on the '03's ? Only 70 thousand miles, all other indicators in the sample look good, according to Terry. There was the same sort of thing the last sample, I'm trying to see how the oil looks after 12,000 miles using synthetic. I don't know a thing about these engines, but I do know any water in oil is not too healthy. He mentioned an oil additive to dry the water out, Lube Control,I think it was. Anyone used that ?

Just my 2 cents, but if I were showing turbo bearing wear, I would drop down my OCI. I use a TP type bypass filter, which also would take a fair amount of water out of the oil if present.
