I was sent a free L. O. F. from the dealer and tried it. I was running Delo 400 and the dealer used Casteroil. Delo 400 hardly any smell, Casteroil a terribly smell just like when it was new. Had thought of the Amsoil until I saw the price. $32. 00 for 6 gal of delo 400 is to good to pass. That was less per gal what Amsoil is per Qt. Also did anyone self note, where is the lube job. I know theres only 3 places but why dont they do it. Its not just me, I havw talked to other owners and they told me to look out. I dont get it.

TBarrett,

If I was you I would check to see what they put in the truck ASAP! Some of these morons will put the same oil in your truck as they put in the last car they serviced. I do my own service work because of that kind of stuff.

A quick internet search shows that Castrol does in fact make several diesel oils. I would check to see what was used if it were me.

If Carson Dodge did your change, they use a CH-4 rated 15W-40 diesel oil made by Castrol. It is ok, but Delo is beter based on my own oil analysis results. You are right, the Castrol does stink almost as bad as Rotella.

Ditto on David's post, I have mine ducted into the vents, love the smell of diesel in the morning ( just kidding on the vents :p ).
