Here's a question for all you Amsoil guys (and anyone else, except don't tell me to quit using Amsoil . . .
)
I'm getting a pretty bad oil leak up front from either the oil pan gasket, or worse, the timing gear case/engine block gasket.
:{ I DON'T want to have to replace either of those if at all possible, so I'm wondering, has anyone had any experience with those "stop leak" oil additives that are supposed to rejuvenate the gaskets and seals? Do they degrade the oil, or cause other problems in the pump or galleries? Would I be negating any benefit of running synthetic by putting that stuff in?
I tabbed the KDP a year and a half ago, so I know it isn't a cracked case or anything like that. I think it is just the result of running straight synthetic Amsoil on 130k gaskets.
Thanks for any input.
