Oil weepage/seepage

Back of engine and bell housing covered in oily dirt. whats been the repair? 12500 miles and its not from spilling oil and it running down valve cover.

I have the same thing. I have been blissfully laboring under the delusion that it's from the crankcase vent.

That being the case. Extend the vent tube further back and get oil on some other part of the undercarriage.

Mine has the same thing I am going to extend the vent, clean it and see if it goes away, I think the hose is either 5/8" or 3/4" ID. You can get a double male to couple a new piece of hose to the old one, or replace it from where it connects to the engine.

Try a quick search, I thought I read a few threads about the back of the valve cover leaking onto the bell housing and being hard to detect where it was coming from.

Mine was doing the same thing. I think I fixed it by tightening the valve box and valve cover bolts a bit. So far so good.

I have had mine in twice for it. The first time took out the factory clutch in short order. They replaced the valve cover gasket when they thought it was the culprit. However with another 6,000 miles it was still doing it. So this past time they replaced a gasket that goes somewhere in between the head and were the piece that the rockers bolts to is. Hopefully it is fixed this time. I just got it out of the shop tonight.
