Thats about where I'm at , also have a dual bypass filter set up[ much longer change interviles] . if it does not leak then I wouldn't have a problum .
You may or may not have a problem. IT depends on how the engine was taken care of for those 218K miles. IF you used quality oil like the Rotella T and changed it on a regular basis, and used the truck on a daily basis, you should not have a problem. If the engine was not taken care of and the oil was not changed on a regular basis, and the engine sat idle for long periods of time, then you may have a problem.
When oil oxidizes, it forms sludge on deposits within the engine, and can possibly cause "False" seals and carbon build up around the cylinder rings. When this happens and you then install a high quality synthetic like Amsoil, the oil can remove the sludge & carbon, and cause the engine to "burn" oil or leak oil! This is due to the fact the Amsoil synthetic is VERY highly detergent!
