Now why would you want to go and ruin some good dino oil like that? :-laf



Seriously, I'd leave the blending to the oil companies. Some of the "synthetics" out there now ARE blends.

I contaced Rotella with that very question. They said by mixing a synthetic with a non-synthetic creates a third oil for which the additives were not made. The additives are the problem, not the oil, according to Shell.

The majors sell blends. As long as you are mixing a 15W40 with a 15W40 diesle rated oil you will not have a problem.

No differnt than running tow bridgestones on the front and BFG's on the rear. Not recommended but they will work.
