I need to know another brand of oil to use,I want to try a different brand at my next oil change. I am using rotella now but don't like the smell i get. I don't want synthetic. I will go to that after I get to 30k. Thanks mike

I can still smell Delo shortly after an oil change. It goes away though. Someone in another thread said that Delo started from better stock, I have no idea. If you had done a search, you may have found out that asking this board what oil to use is like opening Pandora's box. A good quality oil is just that, a good quality oil. As long as you change your oil on a regular basis use whatever you want. OK, flame on .

Costco has Delo 400. I use it with Fleetguard filters (available from Geno's etc. )

Costco is the best price I have found for it, better than Wally World

i ran rosmella until 17000K now have royal purple in the crank. royal will soon be in the transmission, transfer case, differentials, powersteering etc. they make unbelievable products with lots of PAO and moly!

all the oils i ever used in this truck stink after first putting them in so did RP but is smelled much heavier than any other oil i have used.

I will jump in...

and say that I use Mobil Delvac 1300 Super. I have a '92 CTD with 240,000+ miles and my '99 has over 150,000+ miles. Both born and bread on it along with Wix Filters. :--)
