I finnally got my bypass filter mounted. I saw a mounting plate on the internet but they were not availble at this time so I made one myself. Here are some pictures.
 
Beat me to the punch. I just got my OilGuard mounted too. I mounted mine on the fuel pump/filter side with a mount I made. I will take some pic and post them tomorrow.

yeah... i wouldnt like that

more heat radiating into the oil WITHOUT a heat shield, but a heat shild would be easy to make in that case. i think it would also help with heat going into the aif filter...



and it would act as a slash guard if a leak of any type comes about, small or large.





BUT the work is NICE!!

i think i need to look into a bypas filter of one type or another... .

Here's my OilGuard on my 96 - put inside the frame rail on the driver's side next to the NV4500. Easy to change and out of the way.
