Fuel Treatments

cool but foolish

I like the idea, but main stream is not ready for the beloved sports car to be diesel yet, I think GM would due better focusing the diesel market on their SUV and light truck market. maybe even a compact car to compete with the jetta. Then once that takes intro a vette TDI. GM has really lost it touch in the marketing of it products.

"Sunday April 1, 2007" at the bottom of the page  personally i think a bombed diesel vette would be sweet even if it had a maxipad, it would be lugging around half the weight so the mileage would be awsome and it would probably live longer too

I second that! I've always wanted a Vette (or a 911... ) Get a diesel in a z06 with 700hp and 1400# torque. That'd be wicked.

Who knows of someone with a blown zo6 motor? :) And a totaled chubby truck?

Corvette TDI

"Early tests indicate that the Corvette TDI accelerates from 0 to 60 in just over 4 seconds and achieves real-world fuel economy of 25 to 30 MPG. "

Who would have thought you would see the words Corvette and fuel economy in the same sentence!

They actually do get rather descent MPG. The vette is the greenest of any supercar and it is considered a supercar to some.

I'd say if it (c6 z06) can smack a GT40, it's a super car. :)
