Competition Port and polishing

I just got my 315's on, they look great, but... . they rub the control arms, I have the Skyjacker D25 springs, I am using the stock aluminum wheels is there a cheap but good fix or will i just have to bite the bullet and buy new rims and fender flares

I think you can adjust your turn stops so it will prevent this from happening.

Should be a bolt on both sides of the rear, just turn out out. That's how I did my Chevy years ago

any idea what proper is, I have thought about 1/2 inch spacers but i am still not sure that will be enough... I am looking for a quick preferable cheap fix, but if it is absolutely necessary i will buy rims.....

I would never, ever use a spacer!!

The weight on the front of the truck is already close to capacity of the axle. Are you sure that you want to take a chance of levering the studs into breakage? Besides, you'll have to replace all the studs.

Get the right wheels. Or, don't turn the wheel so far. That's your options. And most wheels will hang the tire out quite a ways if you go to 10" width. A standard aftermarket 8" wheel will get pushed out about 1"- 1. 5". This is exactly how much room you'll gain on the inside.

Spacers are generally a bad idea. When used with steel wheels, it's not as big of a deal. But with soft aluminum trying to hold the torque value during the heat clycling of the front end... . Forget about it!!

I think it is 4. 5" backspace but i'm not sure..... If you deal with a reputable dealer, they will have it on hand when you buy wheels from them.

I purchase Helo Maxx 8's in 17X9. 75 and have no rub from 33's...

I had some 16. 5X10 AR baja's with unknown BS and they never rubbed control arm with 35's on them.

If you feel really adventurous, you could drill and tap the knuckles and install stop bolts :)

If you get wheels that are spaced out further, you may cure your rub on the links but cause the tire to rub the fender. Not to mention the extra stress on your unit bearings. I think I'd leave it and not crank the tires hard into the links. Modifications are filled with compromise.

get round control arms instead of the stamped steel OEM ones. You can get most of these control arms for pretty cheap. Plus, it will correct the placement of your axle with the D25 coils as well, will put it forward in the wheel well. The round arms will contact your tires very little, and even if they do, since they are round, they dont hurt anything. here is a set (never seen this brand before, but gives you an idea) http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Dodg...33583QQitemZ8055316002QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

Much cheaper than a new set of wheels.
