Christmas Lights Show

Ok I'm gonna keep trying to stump you. Eventually I will get you and then I will savor it with pleasure!!!

Try this one out, my cousin and buddy and I always sing this on the jukebox when we are at the bars:

Me and JB and Sonny, we grew up on the buddy plan

Weren't we some bad mothers, closer than brothers

Had a rockin' little three-piece band

Yeah we wrote a lot of songs about women

Then we tried to sing 'em pretty for the girls

Pushin' everythin' we did to the limit

Livin' right out on the edge of the world.

Now, you've gotta get my last one, here it is again:

I drove on down to Houston,

For my next show,

Well sometimes don't it surprise you,

With how the wheels turn slow,

I made it back home,

Without a dollar to pay,

For my gas on down to Stephenville,

The very next day...

Since Cummins didn't make engines that big in 1948, what powered that "Pete"?? ;) ... ... Hint: gas or propane

"I'm a Logger, been toppin' trees up in Coos-Bay, Oregon"

Dunno really..... perhaps a big Continental?

The song was written much later than '48 so for all we know the truck had been repowered with a V-12 Detroit long before. :p :-laf
