Well I slipped today and bought a Ferd but only with good intentions... . to install a 12 Valve Cummins. I was driving along over in WI and seen this truck sitting for sale and decided right then and there I needed that baby for a conversion. Its a 1990 F-350 crew cab longbox XLT with the 7. 3 and a 5 speed 4x4. I knocked at the door and these 2 girls come out with all the cowgirl giddy up on and start bragging about what a wonderful truck it is and how they have soooo many fond memories in it... blah blah blah. They then show me stacks and stacks of repair bills with many big numbers on them so I start thinking this truck has been well maintained in its 195,xxx miles and woman driven too. It shows good care too with only a few rust spots on the box sides and the rest of the truck looking as good as most Ferds do. Of course the frame looks like new since they told me it has leaked fuel out of the front tank for the last 50,000 miles. Well you guys get the picture... . now comes the question..... WHO IS GOING TO HELP CONVERT THIS THING? I made a phone call when I got home and acquired a 1993 Dodge truck with a Cummins for just a few hundred bucks but its a 2 wheeler so I want to make it work with the Ferd transmission. I really want to get this done fast so I can slap some big @ss Cummins chrome stickers down both sides of this honker to really **** those power jokers off. Any takers?
