Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) ok I give up, won't run without help

ok, tested relay, worked only if I squeezed it, so bought new one

doesn't work. Tested all the wires, including the blue one from the battery, all fine. Solenoid opens and closes when I squeeze

relay, so what do I do know? For now running truck without solenoid and relay, shutting down manually. I'm going to buy pto

cable for shut down as so I don't have to keep opening hood.

But it's driving me crazy that I can't figure it out. Someone mentioned ignition switch, but truck wouldn't run at all then, runs

now as look as I help it.

There is a bad connection in the relay receptical, I would spray it with contact cleaner. You might also push the plugs on the relay inward a little. This could be the result of someone doing a very good job of pressure washing under the hood.

If Don's suggestion does not work, replace the relay socket. If you do, solder all the wire to wire connections instead of using crimp connectors.
