... have you nozzle headed, pump tweaking, horse beaters been up too. . ??? ;)

Ever notice how holidays are always two weeks too short... never figured that out to be honest.

I took a look at the threads since I took a break and can't believe how many have been added.

To any new members, Welcome to your new home... .

To the rest of you... well, good to see you all, and nice to know we're still the cleanest bunch on the site... ;)

Now, what were the numbers for BD Dyno Days????? I don't see anything listed in here, even from nascar mark... . what's the scoop???

Welcome Back

Hi Bob,

Glad to hear you made it back safely. Did you have to defend yourself from any suicidal mule deer or elk? How was the fishing? I hope you had a wonderful time. Deer season is only two weeks away here.

I haven't done any power enhancements why you were gone. Just updating to a non-fried headlight switch and a trailer wiring harness with a relay built in for the running lights.

Take care,

Jeremy

Hey Bob,

Glad your back. Boy you missed some stuff that went down!!!

In short, Piers showed up at BD to deliver some gaskets and was quickly ushered away. I posted what was up with that and all hell broke lose. That led to Brian phoning Piers trying to sweep it under the rug. Piers didn't back down and now Piers is no longer a vender for any BD products ettc.

I also tried striaghting out who won high hp and BD responded with a load of bull ****. BD is fooling anyone. By the time I tried to respond the forum was locked.

As for my dynoing. I didn't post because I don't make excusses. We tried a new injection pump that WAS SUPPOSED TO BE BUUUIIILLLTT by BD (as you know Piers test bench isn't set up yet ). Long story short, the pump was a joke. Didn't make 1/2 the power my pump makes. So we spent the whole day friday swaping in and out pumps. Finally put my old one back on and didn't have time to set up properly as the tail gate party started and the beers were flowing. To hung over in the morning to do anything but stand, so I dyno'd with what I brought. Other parts didn't show up in time so 305. 5 hp and 706 ftlbs. Nothing to right home about.

I did find even more fuel just yesterday as I took the day off and did finaly set my pump up properly. Gained another 3 psi. Now at 42 psi as daily driver and truck idleing at 775 in gear. :D

Fill us in on the trip.

Hey Bob, hope your decompression went as planed, and your feeling better:) . I went to dyno day's and did get mine on, 213hp and 563 torque, so i'm pretty happy, but looking at your number's and my number's, I'd say one of our's is off, I'm thinking your's, I was told long before dyno day's that mine would be between 200-220, which turned out to be bang on, with your transmission I would figure you would be around 250hp +.

As far as my truck, I had it at the dealer earlier this week to try and figure out whats going on with my transmission, at first they said it's my o/d solenoid, which did'nt make sense, since when the transmission will go into o/d when it's manually grounded, they then said it's the trans temp sensor which makes more sense. Climbed under the truck to see if I Could find anything, and found a broken wire coming off the transmission, but I don't think it's the temp sensor, everything I read says it's on a trans line, the one i'm looking at is coming off the trans case, above and in front of the pan on the drivers side. Just one of many problems i'm having with this thing. I went from not having any problems since buying the truck, to nothing but trouble the couple months

It's good to hear that you were able get away for a while, and made it back safely.

BD's dyno day was a good time. I enjoyed talking with everyone, especially the first gen owners. I dynoed at 257 hp 622 ft/lbs. Mark and Sandi kindly let me stay at there place that night. We had a good time B. S. ing, and having dinner with Piers and the gang.

Well I had a great time away in the 'bush'... ;)

For the first time since ohhhh 1984/5 my brother and I have been getting away around now for some R&R and this is THE first year we have had bright sunshine from sunup to sundown, and blue-black clear nights for every day of the trip. It was so warm the first week we could actually sit in launchairs in shorts if we chose too.

The nights were cool, around +1 C or so.

Near the end of the first week we moved to our second location in the interior, near Loon Lake.

There, it was colder during the day with the shady spots holding the frost all day, but still bright sunshine.

The moon every night was so bright that you could literally walk around without any flashlight or anything.

What this all means is it was wonderful weather for humans and the wildlife. The thing is the little rascals were up and foraging all night when it was bright and cool, and in bed all day when it was warm.

While on stand I had numerous deer (mule deer) walk within less than 20 feet of me, but ole pappa buck did not make an appearance.

It turns out that since we went early this year, it was also a bit too early for the Elk, which had not moved out of their summer grounds yet.

Still, it was a great time. I got to harrass some lumber, wildlife, and my brother too... what more can you ask for... ;) ;)

BCaldwell, I see that you've been bitten by "the bug" and are on your way..... gotta luv it when a plan comes together... . :-laf

Withers, hey!!! not too shaby for numbers their bud !! I think you're probably right about mine being a bit shy, but hey, it works ok for now... . ps, don't tell Bill K I said that either... ;)

Old Smoky, you're turning some decent HP too... I also assume you are referring to nascar mark and his significant other, who I have not met, but if that is the case, it doesn't surprise me at all that you were made welcome... it's the style of the guy you know. . :)

quikshft, welcome again, and I'm sure that you'll find the most helpful bunch here over the long haul. Either way, glad to have you join the 1st Gen group. You won't find a more helpful bunch anywere, and that's the trueth. . Remember, the only dumb question is the one you DON'T ask... been there... got the T-Shirt.

nascar, you ole hound... it looks like I stepped in a pile right away. .

If I'd know of the "hot topic" status, I'd have asked by PM.

Of course, when I got home I peeked in to the 1st Gen forum since this is home. I did not see the hot stuff till now.

As for your numbers, what can I say,... . you are showing some darn decent, and pretty respectable numbers for the 1st Gen guys to aspire too. No one including me would expect any excuses from you about your ride, nor would real reasons be seen as such either, so don't hold back on the info as you progress. Way to go pard' !!
