need help with 2 problems

Well some do and some dont. I didnt! Just take it easy drilling and use grease on the bit. To catch the chips. Same as tapping... use grease and take your time tapping. Cut a few threads and clean the tap. It is not to much of a problem.



I also used a telescoping magnet to get some of the left over chips left in the manifold.



When you do crank up the engine, what ever is left in the manifold will be blown out the exhaust turbine. Just let it idle for a few seconds.



It's really not that big of a deal!

barryg41--is right--no need to remove--especially if you use a series of small bits to get to the final drill bit with the grease and magnet--I also used a shop vac while drilling and to suck out the shavings----chris
 
Did the same as about with the shop vac and a magnet, just swept out the hole real good, a couple of weeks later I had the turbo off changing housings and it looked like new, do it like about and don't get to wrapped around the axle cause it's not made of glass:D
