Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) OK so what block do I have?????

I looked under my truck all I see is a bunch of numbers and letters but no 50 whatever no 53 no 56. Am I looking in the right spot? I see like 2B then 123(about half ground off) then 00E2A something or another? help? Ive got paranoia like RADDodge was talkin about. I figure my luck the ol' 02' will be the only one with the 53 block!

From what I've read in earlier posts, it sounds like you've got the Taco (Mexican) Block. Supposedly (sp) the stongest one out there. Sixpack

You're not the only one seeing a lot of letters and numbers but it is a good thing. I immediately checked my '99 that is missing at idle if you saw my post to see if I had a 53 also that could somehow be causing it to miss. I have a lot of letters and numbers and this means it is a Mexican block which is a good thing. Anyone have any other ideas on my miss ay idle I need help still. Thanks and just remember Mexican's are good.
